About Me
I love and really enjoy sharing my translation skills and techniques to help people communicate their messages. When it comes to communication, different societies have their own linguistic conditions based on how they have been influenced by human’s activity and interaction through the long history. I appreciate the art of translation as it requires great valuable skills such as historical and technical knowledge, attention to detail, and language expertise, to be able to deliver accurate, high quality and fulfilling messages.
My journey to becoming an English-Thai translator was influenced by my love of reading since I was a little girl.
It was just the right time, that a group of Japanese volunteers visited our school to donate hundreds of children’s books. At the age that I started wondering and questioning things around, I realized, “Oh, there are people who look different and speak other languages out there, but what is so important about books, and why did these people invest their time to connect with us, just to give away books?”
I discovered that books were entertaining and powerful sources. I became obsessed with reading and exploring the world’s diversity, starting from children tales, Japan, animals, plants, languages, continents, the Earth etc., until I felt that there must be more interesting things that I wish to learn about, but in other languages.
From children tales to philosophy, Ikigai, a Japanese life-guide, led me to where I am now. My passion for languages allows me to do work that doesn’t feel like work, and combine doing what I love with a valuable service for people. For me, successful translation involves more than a single skill, like the knowledge of language. Languages are multi-dimensional, including tangible and abstract aspects, and the meaning of sentences goes far beyond the meaning of its individual words.
